Joseph has been a leader in the development of large scale infrastructure and real estate projects, strategic and project planning, and government budgeting and finance as a senior executive in government and the private sector. Meridiam’s 25-year funds align the interest of investors, asset life and the public interest. Prior to Meridiam, Joseph served as a senior executive council member at Aecom where he undertook a series of operating and strategic positions. He previously held a series of senior positions at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, culminating in the position of assistant general manager for strategic planning, where he oversaw the budget office (operating, capital and performance management) as well as intergovernmental affairs. Joseph is an alumnus of the Kennedy School of Government, where he has occasionally guest lectured. In 2015, Joseph was named by Massachusetts Governor Charles Baker as Chairperson of the MBTA’s Fiscal and Management Control Board (FMCB), a pro-bono position. The FMCB has a five-year mandate to restore and maintain fiscal stability, improve management, customer service and productivity.
